Department of Electrical, Computer & Systems Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Cross-layer designed an error robust transport scheme for multimedia applications in multihop wireless networks.
Developed a distributed image compression scheme in multihop wireless networks which achieves better performance in terms of energy consumption.
Investigated the power consumption of transmitting images in multihop wireless networks. Designed an adaptive image transmission algorithm to minimize the total power dissipation.
Modeled reactive routing protocols in both flat and clustered network architecture. Explored the performance of routing in terms of overhead by theoretical analysis and computer simulation with ns2.
Developed a novel algorithm on bandwidth allocation based on class-unit application model. Implemented it in MATLAB to achieve QoS-based MAX-MIN fairness.
