Measurement of SNMP Packet Sizes

This diagram shows that packet sizes reported by tcpdump agree with traffic measurements reported by SNMP.

Results of several experiments.

Views of both ends of the link for several experiments where the link fails due to the increasing distance between two laptops. The first result is the experiment briefed at the MURI meeting in June, but with the likelihood ratio rather than the log likelihood ratio. The other experiments are of a similar nature, but show slightly different link characteristics. In all cases, we achieve some degree of link failure prediction. I adjusted the "alarm" threshold to be 0.1, which works best for the haydn (stationary) end of link, although 0.2 may be better for the scavino end. These plots differ from previous ones in that the x-axis is time rather than samples.
