MUGSHOT

I graduated from RPI with PhD in computer systems (ECSE dept) in 2007.  My dissertation advisor was Prof Alhussein Abouzeid. The title of PhD dissertation was "Stochastic and Information Theoretic Models for Design and Performance Evaluation of Moble Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks". My research involves modeling and analysis of complex systems, characterizing fundamental performance limits, and algorithm design for problems involving such complex systems. Examples of such systems include mobile wireless networks, sensor networks, Internet, supply chain, and teams of mobile agents/robots. Analytical tools that I frequently use include queuing theory, probability theory and stochastic techniques, and information theory. Please visit my research page for more information.

Before joining RPI, I graduated with B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India. The title of senior year project was "Developing QoS mechanism for Real Time Traffic Over IP Networks". In this project we developed mechanism of QoS routing where each node in an IP network is able to estimate the probability that a given packet would reach the destination before its playback time expires for every available path. It then uses the path with highest probability to route the packet. My advisor for this project was Dr Sanjay K. Bose.

Currently I am with Intel, Hillsboro, Oregon.
